Even when there are well funded research, development and marketing teams around some of these cryptocurrencies, what is the drive to create so many. I attempt to answer this around the basic premise of anyone wanting to influence change on a cryptocurrency network, especially a decentralized one has to convince the majority the change is good. Most of this results into others cloning the project and making their own cryptocurrency.
