What is the best index fund? In this video I will show you what I believe is Warren Buffett’s favorite index fund. Warren is well known for being a fan of index funds and ETFs. He has referred to the S&P 500 on a few occasions but he has never actually said which one he likes best.

4:13 – Warren Buffett’s Favorite Index Fund
6:29 – Buffett on Turning $10,000 in to $50,000,000
So what is Warren Buffett’s favorite ETF? Well if you take a look at the 13F Filing for Berkshire Hathaway, you will see that they own small holding positions in the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF – VOO and SPDR S&P 500 ETF – SPY. We can assume then, that these are Warren Buffet’s preferred choice.

Can by theses funds Through Robinhood?
Thank you for this video I've been trying to figure this out myself but you showed me exactly the stock that he invested in
But having 50 million dollars after the age of 70 won’t mean as much as having that money in your 30s or 40s isn’t it? 🙂
Thanks for this great video, I must say having multiple sources of income is the best peace of mind anyone can have. I started my Roth IRA years back, I also decided to go into investment in stock. I have never lost in my trading because I have an expert broker trading from me. Her name is Suzanne Stephens Ellis. She is a financial expert and a licensed broker.
Very clear speech
Great clip! Thanks for sharing!
What are the two best for index to buy for longterm?? Please help
What are the top 2or3 index stock to but for long term? Voo and spy?
John Bogle said Warren suggested using a Vanguard S&P 500 index fund

Absolute idiots at the UN and Berlin. They don't even know about their own shit they are trying to sell.
At least she knows what she is doing and talking about. That is of high value nowadays in Europe.
He likes vanguard because of the low expense associated with the index fund
Which would be the European (most) equivalent to these? iShares SXR8 perhaps?
Thank you for this good info.
That is at about an 11% interest rate for 79 years
Good work Ms. Marple!!!!
Just because he's in SPY doesn't make it the best or mean he thinks it's the best. ETFs give different market exposures, so in the case of Berkshire, they must have determined that they needed to increase their exposure a tad to the S&P 500.
What are the differences between S & P SPY and VOO? Thanks.
Damn, almost half his portfolio is in Apple and NONE is his buddy Gate's Microsoft. LMAO
Amazing. Thank you. 🙏👍
Nathan, what do you think about FXAIX which has even lesser expense ratio than VOO ? Also Fidelity has introduced FNILX which has zero expense ratio.
Index vanguard are great low cost investments they have a place in portfolio, however if they so great why didn’t Warren Buffet invest all the shares of Berkshire Hathaway in index ?
FUN FACT: The 2 different Index funds both made 44% gains over the last 12 months. He's likely to hold these funds for an extremely long time like his holdings in Coca Cola and American Express. Interestingly a lot of Berkshire shareholders have urged Warren and Charlie to put Berkshire's huge excess cash pile into Index Funds rather than short term bonds where they are actually losing money over time. Berkshire's performance would improve immensely.
The index fund return 85 % over 10 years. That's a avg 8.5 % per year. That's good but not great. Dividends accounted for 3 to 4% of the 8.5%. The fund without the dividends did about 4%. Neither seem like a good investment. A good investment doubles your money every 7 years.
