While I don’t personally trade cryptocurrencies, I do consider myself a cryptocurrency investor. I believe that it’s important to understand the fundamentals about Bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies first before putting any money into them.
This is an easy guide to blockchain and bitcoin for students and beginners. Before we talk about crypto, we’ll first need to understand what money is. Understanding money can help us understand why Bitcoin was created and why it has value. We’ll also talk about the technology behind Bitcoin: Blockchain Technology. You can’t really talk about one without talking about the other. We’ll also briefly talk about Ethereum and why there are a lot of crypto projects. By the end of this video, hopefully, you’ll understand why I invest in cryptocurrency. Hopefully, this video guides you on whether you should buy or invest in crypto.
Blockchain technology has a lot of potential applications. Bitcoin is the application of blockchain technology in the finance industry. This revolutionary technology can also be applied to healthcare, real estate, supply chain… the possibilities are endless! Think of blockchain as one big decentralized notebook. Each page or “block” has a list of transactions on the network, and all of these blocks are connected to one another. This technology allows us to trade with one another without the need for a third party or an institution to help keep our transactions safe.
Besides Bitcoin, there are plenty more crypto projects out there. Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency, but unlike Bitcoin, it’s not meant to function as digital money. It’s a platform where people can create decentralized applications (DApps). Think of cryptos as individual companies. Learn more about what they’re trying to achieve before investing in them.
