I like decentralized technologies but for example bitcoin would be horrible as a world currency replacing ordinary money. Why? I suspect that there are technical risks with Bitcoin but even if it is technically safe and decentralized without centralized control, those who own a lot of bitcoins today would become multi bitcoin trillionaires if it becomes the world's dominating currency, cementing a huge rich-poor divide. The same with any new cryptocurrency, those with a lot of money today would be able to "corner the coin" so to speak at an early stage and reap large profits as the coin becomes more and more used. I think we instead need a global digital currency issued by for example the IMF (e-SDRs) that can be tokenized into e-dollar, e-euoros and e-yuans etc.

Fed coin will make crypto less profitable for investors and more profitable for the government. If the government makes crypto more stable it means they own most of it and investors won't see the volatility to make money. Don't be fooled!

That's why cryptocurrency doesn't work today. It's tied to the dollar which is controlled by Central Banks and greedy politicians paid to look the other way. I'd rather go back to trading sea shells.
