Today we’re talking about how to make your own Bitcoin wallet (and also a wallet for any other cryptocurrency). Now there are a lot of ways to get a Bitcoin wallet – you could have a piece of paper, a thumb drive, and different kinds of online wallets, but today I’m going to show you the MOST SAFE and MOST EASY one to use.
First, follow the link above and create an account on CoinBase (and cool thing is you’ll get $10 in Bitcoin after you spend $100 on Bitcoin). Once your account is setup you’ll have a wallet ready to go, but this isn’t exactly safe yet.
Hit ‘New Account’ and click ‘Vault’. Basically, what a vault is it’s something that slows down the selling process by sending out verification notices to all your linked devices in the span of two days. So, let’s say your account was compromised but all your money was stored in a vault – if whoever got into your account tries to send it somewhere else, you’ll receive emails and texts within the next 48 hours saying you have to verify that issued that transfer, if it wasn’t you, just say it wasn’t and you’ll lose nothing at all.
So, when setting up your vault you need to add a primary and secondary email PLUS a phone number (verification messages will be sent out during the initial setup to confirm these are really your accounts, tedious, yes, but just goes to show how protected it all is!).
Once everything is set up, just head over to your Bitcoin Vault and hit ‘Deposit’ and put in whatever amount you want to keep safe. It’s that simple and it’s 100% secure.
