So, you’ve decided you’re ready to buy Bitcoin for the first time, here’s how to do it!
When you head to the Paxful homepage, click “Buy Bitcoin” from the main menu. It will then redirect you to a page where you’ll have the option to choose your payment method, the amount you’re willing to pay, and your preferred currency. After inputting all your preferences, click on “Search for Offers”. When you see the list of offers, you’ll notice that each one includes essential information about the seller such as:
The seller’s username
Last seen online
The amount of positive feedback they have received from others
The types of payment that they are accepting
The minimum and maximum amount that they are accepting
And the total amount per Bitcoin you’ll be paying at the rate specified by the offer
These bits of information can play a huge role in determining whether the vendor is credible or not. Ideally, you’ll want to trade with a fellow user who has verified their information, conducted business on Paxful for a while, engaged in at least 20 or more trades, is trusted by others, and has sufficient experience selling Bitcoin.
Once you’ve deemed the vendor credible, click “Buy” and you’ll be asked to verify how much Bitcoin you are buying. Before you do this, carefully read the vendor’s instructions. Vendors are able to set their own requirements, so make sure you agree with these instructions. If not, you can always go back to the offers page if you change your mind.
When you’re ready to trade and confirm the amount, Click “Buy Now” to enter the live trade chat with our secure escrow. Again, carefully read and follow the vendor’s instructions and your trade will run smoothly. Once you have made the payment and completed your end of the deal (and only once you have done so), you can mark the trade as “Paid.” The vendor will then confirm your payment, Once everything has been confirmed, the vendor will release your Bitcoin! Remember to treat these vendors with kindness and give them feedback after your transaction is complete.
And there you have it! You’ve just purchased Bitcoin on Paxful!
